See London differently, one sketch at a time
About me
Hello!
I’m Emily, Art History graduate, tour guide and keen sketcher. I have been working on creating, managing and delivering cultural engagement projects and courses for more than 20 years and love applying creative, immersive and structured ways to lead tours – using non formal education methods.
I love people, London and the world – and finding common connections. I am motivated to encourage people to slow down, look closer and discover what might be missed in the rush of life. I believe that sketching can be a powerful way to help us connect to what is around us – and think you don’t need to be ‘an artist’ for this; just curious.
About Whispering Ways
We’re a small tour company dedicated to helping people slow down, look closer, and rediscover London in a new way. Our walking tour of Trafalgar Square blends gentle exploration with creativity, inviting you to experience one of the city’s most iconic spaces in a way most visitors never do.
Our philosophy
Trafalgar Square is full of stories—etched into statues, carved into facades, and unfolding in the everyday. We believe sketching is one of the most powerful ways to help us connect with what we see around us. You don’t need to be an artist; you just need curiosity and a willingness to observe.
Our tours are built around three ideas:
Look slowly: Notice the details that usually blur into the background.
Connect deeply: Learn the history, architecture, and atmosphere of the square through your own lines and marks.
Create freely: Sketch without pressure, perfection, or rules.
